Soundproof glass on the ct?

The GS450h has this feature, and I admit it's pretty nice. But again, the GSh is a car in a whole different performance league and price point. Lexus could have kept adding features to please everyone, and then ended up with a subcompact hatch that had everything everyone wanted but few could afford.

you dont have to be driving 200mph to drive fast, on mountain roads, engine braking is required if you want to drive fast even if you are only going 40-50mph.
for highways, who cares.

correct, i've never driven the ct200h with the paddle shifters. but is it a world of difference from the sport mode and/or does it do something the sport mode can't accomplish? the ct200h seems peppy enough in sport mode to accomplish a 45 mph romp through the mountains if you were so inclined...

thats fine too... maybe they will add it to some sport model in the future and not just JDM models.

So, I'm curious, do all or most other Lexus models have double pane glass (other than the windshield)? I've got an RX and I'm always amazed how much sound the side windows block out.
I'll be a bit bummed if its not the same way when I get my CT. Just curious.

Agreed.
Remember that this is a sub $30k Lexus we're talking about. I can't stand it when people pay $29k for a CT200h and complain that it doesn't have all the features of an $125k LS600h. I love my CT, but I accept it for what it is. The cheapest Lexus you can buy. Period.

Just because they offer a stripped base model (a new thing for Lexus) doesn't mean the car along with the features you do pay for should not be standard Lexus quality.
