Bug bombing car safe for leather?
I found a cockroach in my car last night, and I don't want to take any chances. I've decided to bug bomb the car to make sure I get rid of the little bastards. I was wondering, should I cover the leather and plastic in the car? Or do think it'll be okay if I leave it exposed?

I only know of one guy who bug bombed his car. It was a beater, and we were still in High School way back when, but it didn't look like the interior was damaged by the smoke. Like PHML said, just clean everything after the fact and you should be fine.

i would recommend against it. i bug bombed an old beater once. it was a mess! there isn't enough space in the overhead of the car for the mist to go up and fumigate the car. the bomb just saturated the same area on the headliner then dripped on the upholstery. the worst thing is the car smelt like poison and still didn't kill all the roaches. i would recommend pulling out the seats and vacuuming with a shop vac. then maybe spray the under seat area with a little raid before reinstalling the seats. hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice guys, but I went ahead and did it last night. I just used the Raid fumigator with dry fog. No mess, and there's a scented aroma lingering (not offensive). Thanks though

No worries. I did it to mines already too. I had ants all over the place. No matter how many times I washed and vacuumed the car. The ants was still in my car. I used one and it did the job. No more ants and it did not leave a heavy smell like Raid if you were to spray. Within a week the smell went away and my problems were cleared.
