I was wondering if anyone has a cleaning spray that they have had a good experience with that is kind to the leather on these cars. I bought the car and it is pretty clean, but has a few soda stains here and there. Also the concave plastic cover in front of the gauges has something glossy on the outside of it.

Lexol has something new I tried and like, its these all in one cleaner conditioner wipes that have been pretty good. Got them at Advance Auto Parts for 6.19. It makes cleaning the seats really easy.

Youtube has video's on cleaning using Mr Clean magic eraser.I just sent Mrs to pick some up at store.Told her to buy 4 packs.

I've actually heard the Magic Eraser is okay, but you can end up abraiding the leather with pressure.

I often watch the Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing videos by Scott. Really good stuff. 3:40 in the video is one of the most important parts:

Yeah definitely don't use magic eraser aka melamine foam on the leather, it'll basically sand off the top coat. Use a cotton terry towel and warm water (or leather cleaner) to clean the dirt off then treat with leather oil or similar. Lexol has worked great for me in the past.

For my '98 I have used Leatherique products, and they work incredibly well. The company's been around forever, packaging is no fuss, and the product is legit. After just one use leather was noticeably softer and cleaner. I haven't ever done two consecutive cleanings but I imagine the results would be worth the elbow grease!! Highly recommended.

I like the Lexol products. First I use Lexol Leather Cleaner, and then I follow with Lexol Leather Conditioner.

+1 with Lexol. This isn't going to wipe a clean streak from dirty stained leather though for most intents will clean sufficiently. Have used it since getting ours and I've been pleased using this on other leather products. Go easy with light-mild pressure and soft cloth.

Another idea is just water with some hand soap or shampoo, then later condition with cheap moisturizing lotion. Human skin, seat leather, same idea.

Like your thinking.Still havent made up my mind but i saw a guy with coconut shampoo and treat with 303® Aerospace Protectant.Or Lexol or Mothers VLR.He uses them all.If shampoo cleans it Im going that route I think. His take,you dont need to spend a lot to clean your car.
