07/26/05 Tokyo, Japan Toyota finally unveils the Lexus brand name to the homeland! Lexus was once a luxury brand name introduced to America just over fifteen years ago. Today, the Lexus movement is officially released to the Japanese market. Please note the specs and prices listed below reflect Japanese Domestic Model (JDM) Lexus vehicles only.

07/08/2005 Torrance, CA Lexus announced manufacturer suggested retail prices (MSRP) for the 2006 LS 430 premium luxury sedan. The 2006 LS 430 will increase 0.5%, or $300 to $56,525.

07/01/2005 Torrance, Calif. Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported its best-ever first-half sales in 48 years of business in the U.S. with calendar-year-to-date (CYTD) sales of 1,114,070. June sales of 194,875, an increase of 10.0 percent over last June, contributed to a record-setting second quarter, with sales of 606,834 units.

06/30/2005 Torrance, CA Lexus once again dominated the 2005 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) nameplate rankings, which tracks the number and type of problems owners have with their three-year-old vehicles. Lexus was the top nameplate for the 11th consecutive year and improved 14 percent compared to 2004.
