I think I feel justified in saying that the CT could use some pizzazz. It’s not a bad car–it’s actually quite nice for a front-wheel-drive hatchback. The car is cozy and handles adequately… but it’s missing the x-factor. Lexus of China took a stab at adding some spice to the CT with this:
The IS needs a better powerplant for it’s entry level option. If the rumormill is to be believed, it’ll be getting it soon. What if Lexus put their new turbo four into the IS? They could call it, “The IS 200t.”
Lexus’ littlest crossover got it’s official unveiling at the Beijing Autoshow over the weekend, and with it, we’ve got the details on what exactly Lexus has planned for this car. The biggest news about the NX is the drivetrain, strangely enough.
The whole idea of a crossover is to have the utility and right height of an SUV with the handling of car. With a coupe, you lose the utility part of that equation. So, will Lexus ever build this?
Ah, yes. Money. Lexus knows what it’s like to be swimming in the stuff.
Well, almost. According to Lexus’ U.S. general manager, Jeff Bracken, the company has grown 15% in the first quarter of the year. If things continue at this rate, they’ll exceed their goals of sell 290,000 cars this year.
It’s still 10 days before Lexus debut the NX at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, but we were given an exclusive first look at the latest addition to the Lexus SUV lineup. Hit the jump for a ton of high-res photos!
