Default Does this look safe?

Hey guys,

Before I consult with a tire place, I wanted to get opinions from you guys. Here is a picture of my rear passenger tire. I know that the tread is starting to run out.

Is it safe to drive my car at it's current state?

If so how many more miles do I have left?

Thanks alot.

I would say that on dry conditions...it's borderline ok..

But on wet conditions....it may create a "hydroplane" result at higher speeds. There may NOT be enough tread for the water to dissipate to the side of the tire.

To be safe, I would change them.

Thanks for your great opinion PHML.

I am just mad that the drive side rear tire is not wearing at the same rate as the rear passenger side. The right side has more tread than the left...

lexaristo your still safe. u can keep going until your bald. u know when u really need to change your tire when u can see the metal belt in the tire. I would try not to drive much in the rain though. i would recommend you to start shopping for some decent tires at a good price about now =).

I just replaced all my tires last week because they were all worn out just like yours. There isn't much rubber left on the worn side of the tire, that's why one of my tires started to leak air and then it started to wear out really really fast and then the steel strands started to show.

Well, at least you're getting new tires really soon
