Default ..IMPORTANT ....help on offset....

I am going to get rims for my 92 sc. They are manaray vr quests or something and i m planning on getting 18x 8.5 in the front and 18x 9.5 for the rear. My question is what is the right offset for the rims thta i have to get?? I dont want the rims to be rubbing my fenders and have them messing eachother up. Thanks in advance.

I have 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. The offsets are +43 front and +47 rear. No rubbing on my Soarer GTL. As you are getting an extra half inch each, I would look at getting something with a few more mm of positive offset for yours. Sorry I can't give you exact numbers for your sizes, I would suggest you negotiate "it must work right" with your retailer.

Incidentally, I have Racing Direction wheels from Japan, and I would love it if someone could tell me where I can find some info on them..... if they are 3 piece I can get them widened easy

I am very suprised at PCMW that he let you get away without the obligatory "Use the Search" lecture;

Still, 50mm is the factory front offset for 8" rims, 45mm works fine for 8.5" rims on the front, try not to go less as this affects the steering. Rears will take up to 10" rims at 45mm.
