my steering wheel and car vibrates. My passenger claims that they feel it too. The vibration is very noticeable at 80+mph. I just did an alignment and is still vibrating. Should I do balancing next? Any suggestions?

 

I would get all four tires balanced, It should help if un-evenly balanced.

 

what may have caused the vibration? just the unbalanced wheels?

 

I also heard bent wheels. I havent fully checked the inside part of the rims but from the outer, my rims are not bent.

 

many times you cannot see a bent wheel... you can see some bends, yes, but if a wheel is out of round, it might not be able to be seen unless spun...

when balanced, ask the tech to take a close look for a bent wheel...

as tires wear, they come out of balance... just have them balanced, it's the easiest, most obvious problem...

 

I just took my time looking at the inside parts of the rims and my right front is bent. Wonder how much it is to fix it... at least its the inside part so they dont have to rechrome.

Im guessing wheels arent going to be as strong now? even after repair.

if its a NOTICEABLE vibration, then its most likely not JUST that.

and wheel strenth is relative, yea, it may be slightly (slightly) reduced after repair but its still plenty strong enough

get the wheels rebalanced before doin anything.

 

yeah...cause my stock rims is bent inside..and does not vibrate at all...

 

So balance before fixing? The vibrations is not that strong, but it is noticeable (not scary). I was doing 120 with a NSX just yesterday. My mother sat in the front seat and she felt it coming from the right front.

 

doing 120 with your mother?? Wow...cool mom! hehehe...

 

I was late for an appointment and it was her fault. The NSX happened to be there and was hauling *** too
The freeway was relatively empty.

 

Usually a vibration felt in the steering wheels is caused by front tire being out of balance. Though it looks like this situation has been diagnosed.
