VIP is so overrated and was so 2007. Now everybody is desperate to fit into the VIP category and is being so watered down just like how so many people were predicting back then. You can't keep it traditional forever and now every car is trying to be VIP as long as their wheel fitment is "hella flush" (which doesn't even have a true meaning) and has a non-sporty body kit. I mean...where is the line drawn?

I guess you could call me a VIP purist but I'm sorry, when you have threads going all over the forums like the "am I VIP" threads, then it has lost its true meaning because these people are trying to fit in, not be original.

 

Some rather unattractive cars IMO. Something about the whole VIP concept that's too much wannabe-like.

My preference for modded/customized premium cars is to see more of a performance/lux look.

 

Not bad for a general guide, and the pics you have are not bad. I like the look of normal VIP, just not extreme VIP, i.e., you can't drive the car normally.

 

I just think its funny that I was banned from the VIP forum on CL two years ago for arguing with another member that it does seem like a cook book kind of thing to me and here is an article on the very same thing I was arguing . I still think VIP is cool but I think that the VIP guys are so harsh as what exactly is VIP that it really is a recipe. They will argue that platform is not VIP, or the wheels are not VIP, or no coils are VIP you need air..... in the end it gets a bit confusing .

 

me too...i dont want see old model car with crazy camber...its hard to say this car is vip and that car is not...to me, its all about newest model with body kits and wheels with some lip...just keep it simple not over do it..some people here say bbs, works are so vip but to me nc forged is..it just different taste...bein member of clublexus, i learned honest is good but just appreciate other peoples taste and keep the negative to ourselves....
