I was also told years ago that Airrunner using KYB shocks on all their applications ..Not just the LS460..
I thought this too when I first got them. but to be honest i think it may only be the 4-way dampning part that they source from kyb, the bag sourced from firestone, compressor sourced from firestone, airlines from another joint....get where im going here.... the only thing they customed was the strut shell, toppin plate, wiring diagram, MAYBE the paddles, and definately W-locks....
I have the 06 and 07 Air Runner catalogs in front of me. At the beginning where they show all the points on each assembly they say that all dampeners are made by KYB. Many are 4 way adjustable like the KYB AGX.
hybrid: allows for the better handling and ease of adjustability.
just air: better ride comfort and adjustability, but worse handling
coils: stiffer ride for better handling, but a PITA to adjust.
ahh ic... would this also apply to my ES? the handling is already crap... lol
any suggestions on what i should do? i was thinking working to save up on air... since there's absolutely nothing as far as springs or coilovers for my 2007 ES350.
if i were to get air suspension... and coilovers come out later on... can i do the hybrid thing then?
uas+cst coilovers is what I was thinkin bout doin. bring this thread back ppl!! How reliable is UAS anyways compared to airrunner? Im curious myself if I should keep my CST coilovers and get a UAS setup. I was thinkin that the cst wouldnt allow me to go low enough tho, am I wrong? I got some 20" donz Im gonna be ridin on.
