UCF20 II project underway
Just wanted to introduce myself to the board. This project is a 98 LS 400. I am going for an EXE look versus the VIP look (ie: don't want the wheel tuck and camber and don't care too much for the exaggerated exhausts)
Since I have just put the wheels on I am now looking at what springs are going to be the best for a comfortable ride while closing a lot of this wheel gap. The best I've come up with are the H&R sport springs which are about a 1" drop both front and rear. Tananbes seem to be too much of a drop and a harsher ride. I would love Eibach pros but they don't make them in this application. Any suggestions?
After the springs are done and the car is lowered to my satisfaction I will be finishing the audio install and looking at body kits. I have seen some amazing stuff on this forum and thanks to all the cool cats that post up pics of their rides, hopefully mine will turn out as as nice as some of yours.
Sorry for the bad pic. Just wanted to give you guys an idea of what I'm working with.

you should go with coilovers or air. you probably wont get the desired stance that you will be looking for with springs.
and if you do go with springs, get replacement shocks as well.
i cant help you so much because i am not familiar with ucf's. but im sure somebody will.
and be ready to take some bashing on those wheels.
goodluck

He speaks the truth! Even if your going for a mild exe look then you gotta go lower. I agree with the general consensus on the wheels. More dub then exe to me. Nice start on platform though.

Ouch ... Nice platform !
gotta get the wheels right too .. I see how this forum has kinda turned into the vsc but hey if you are going for the correct look then gotta change out the wheels and I'd get coils ... get it right the first time yea know ?
I have changed my wheels 2 times and the suspension 2 times ... good luck

Thanks for the feedback guys. I like a clean look like a benz with the big 5 stars, I know not VIP but I do like that look. I've been looking in the for sale sections and I believe I'm going to go with coilovers. I'm a little worried about how this is going to affect the ride. I really don't won't to have to cut any of the fenders to alleviate wheel rub either. Since I've put the new wheels on, the ride and response have been improved substantially over the factory wheels and tires.
