This is my first experience with a hybrid vehicle and I really want to install a 2 channel dash cam in my new UX250h but am afraid that it will kill the 12 volt battery even with a voltage sensor and automatic shut off during parking mode. I am not well versed in electronics and would have a pro install it.

I don’t want to spend all the money on a good front/rear camera with power magic pro if it’s going to kill the car and void my warranty. I know there are external batteries I can use as well but know very little about them and their usefulness. A

Anyone with experience or knowledge that can help me understand what I need or don’t need to do this? In layman’s terms,please.

I've had front and rear hardwired for a while with no problems. Using Thinkware F800.
