Default Rear Seat Sensor Malfunction

Hello! I'm new to this forum and stumbled here when searching for help with a malfunctioning rear-seat sensor issue in my 2020 UX250H that has a little over 10K miles. The middle rear-seat sensor keeps going off while driving. It comes on randomly and multiple times while driving with no one and nothing in the seat. I looked up YouTube videos, but none of the solutions fixed my problem. Today I had to pull over, click the rear middle seat belt with no one in the seat and leave it clicked as a workaround. I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this and could really use help on how to disable the sensor for my 2020. If anyone has experienced this or knows of a fix, please let me know. It's so annoying. Thanks in advance!

Check the obvious stuff, when and if the seatbacks were folded forward might something
have dropped down into the cavity and now be affecting the wiring down behind the center
seat?

Schedule a visit with your dealership. Or wait for the 15K service. And have them look at it.

Mine has done that randomly when I had my dogs in the car and belted in. Doesn't happen too much either, same thing with inside the lady's IS.

They tend to move around a bit though.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of this, but checked and nothing there.. I'll soon be at 15K miles, so I'll have dealership look at it. So far no problems with seatbelt latched, so if nothing else, I'll just keep it latched.

Thanks! I'll do just that. So far it's been quiet since latching the seatbelt, so no more annoying noise.

Thank goodness it's only happening occasionally for you. So far, so good for me since latching my middle rear seatbelt. I'm almost at 15K miles, so when I take it in to dealership, I'll have them look at it. Hope yours doesn't get any worse.
