Default Physical A/C Button functionality

I've seen this topic in other model forums but not specifically the UX forums so I thought I'd post... The one feature I "miss" having is not quite a feature at all -- a physical A/C button. That being said, I have tried to make the personal setting below (second option) to work as it is stated in the manual, to no avail...

Has anyone gotten the A/C to work as stated when the option is set to OFF as below (second option?).. or is this just a boilerplate option across the Lexus models? I had a loaner NX from my dealership, and this option worked, but that NX had a separate Auto A/C switch as noted in other forums... that separate switch toggled from auto to other modes... the UX doesn't seem to have that toggle switch.

In trying to deselect the auto door locks, I determined that many options in the manual are only achieved but dealer service device. I plan to make a list of all the settings I want before taking vehicle in for 1st service at 5K mi.

My A/C pet peeve is if A/C is on auto, the recirculate button must be on.

I would like all doors to automatically lock as soon as the car is started? Can they be reprogramed at the dealership?

The preference I illustrated above actually lists both User modifiable and Dealer modifiable. Is what you're saying that it is a misprint in the manual, in that it is ONLY dealer modifiable? If so, what exactly is the Auto A/C button it references, which button is it exactly? I'll need to make an appointment with this and some other items I want looked at.

This is the standard way our car came.

I haven't tried to change many defaults, but all that I did were not user modifiable. YMMV

Let's collect a listing of successful mods. I have no entries to add as of yet.

No, it is not. The doors do not lock automatically when the car starts. It auto-locks as soon as you shift from park (default).
