I highly recommend you wrap the gear shifter area, it's prone to scratching very easy. I personally wrapped mine in 3M CF DI-NOC wrap to minimize the occurrence.
I love the two-tone seats - Wish my RC had these, or as with the IS/NX. The one thing about the UX interior I do not dig is the buttons in front the center console. That looks very 'gimmike'

However people may feel about those buttons & dial on the center console, it is probably the most practical design Lexus has ever implemented (IMO). It is so natural to have your arm on the armrest and being able to control the volume, change stations/audio tracks, etc. 🔊 🎶

I use any of three navigation systems (apps) through Apple CarPlay.
What is showing in the photo is Waze. However, I have been using Google Maps for navigation a lot lately. I also have Apple Maps, but that's the one I use the least.

Ok thanks. I had a feeling it was Apple Carplay. I'm going to try this December to try and get out of this NX into a UX hybrid and I might have to settle for one without factory nav and I was curious what Google Maps looked like on that smaller screen. Google Maps on Android Auto in my NX with the 10 inch factory nav screen looks fine except for the right 1/3 of the screen is taken up by a clock. So I was wondering if on the smaller 7 inch screen in a non nav UX, maybe the map screen is full screen. That would make it roughly the same size display on both systems.

What is shown in the photos above is when the menu bar has dropped down, giving the driver a chance to enter a destination. I'll take some photos over the weekend of Google Maps and post them here. There's plenty of room for the map even on the smaller displays.

Do you still get audible directions over your sound system even though you don't have factory navigation?

Yes, of course. It plays through the speakers like the factory nav. It "dims" the radio sound while it says the navigation information and then the radio goes back to previous volume.

.
Here are the pics of Google Maps navigation via Apple CarPlay, one pic while an active navigating route is going on and the other pic, with no active navigation happening...
