2019 UX200 Malfunction Codes Galore
When she told me, I checked around for any evidence of the dirt on the bumper or license plate frame having been disturbed. I didn't see any evidence on the front of her car that it had made any contact with anything.
She didn't drive her car on Friday or the weekend. But on Monday the car displayed every possible malfunction.
EPB Malfunction, Drive-Start Control Malfunction, Pre-Collision System Malfunction, Fuel Low, Secondary Collision Brake System Malfunction, Charging System Malfunction, Engine Stopped, Steering Power Low, LTA Malfunction, Check Engine
The car will turn on but within a minute it will stop working.
This seems conspicuously related to her "near miss". But I can't be sure. Her car is a 2019 UX200 and we don't have extended warranty on it. I have been quoted $300 to tow her car from an underground garage because the tow truck cannot fit inside. I don't know what the charge to diagnose it would be, nor what the repair could cost us.
Could this be a warning of a near miss by the GPS computer sensors telling the dealership the abrup braking might indicate a possible collision and would need to be visually checked for damages?
If so, would it make sense to try and clean the car's computer memory of such an event by using a bidirectional OBD2 scanner to clear its memory (Launch Creader Elite 2.0)? If someone understands how these vehicles decided when to say these things are malfunctioning, could you tell me how to repair my vehicle and avoid paying so much out of pocket?🤔
You can buy a battery jumper, start the vehicle and drive it out of the garage to the tow truck or drive to an auto parts store that has a battery in stock.
