I just purchased a new 2026 Lexus TX500h and though I make a video on my install of the Dashcam while tapping the rearview mirror for power.
Hope it would help someone out there.

Nice video! For those interested in the Lexus Integrated Dash Cam it will install using the open port hidden behind the Map Light / Sunglasses Holder. There are some good tutorials online. I was able to install with just the dash cam. No other adapters needed.

it's in the description section. I put a large 256GB microsd card also so it can store more pictures than the factory dashcam.Originally Posted by Hrishi

Does it only power the camera when the car is on? Or can it be used to power the camera for "parking mode".

This method automatically powers ON when the vehicle starts but goes off when the vehicle is OFF.Originally Posted by nunaya5000

If you are looking for always ON, you will need a constant power source. I heard people drained their 12V battery if setup wrong as well. I would use the fuse tap method if that's what you are looking for.
I setup the fuse tap for the Rav4 and it was a pain (fuse tap cables, running the power cable on the dash area, etc),
