RX 350L the 3rd row auto seats did not make any noise when folding. Wondering if Lexus incorporated the same mechanism, but w/o the seats bottoms dropping/raising causing the clunk noise?
Took vehicle into “stealership” today, service ad(?)visor stated “it’s the spring inside making the noise”. Odd, that I don’t see a spring in these diagrams: https://www.lexusdirectparts.com/v-2...hird-row-seats
Even so, may not be worth it to have “service” tear down the seats to expose a problem? But did get it documented.
When I push the buttons to power fold 3rd row seats , midway through them folding there is a clanking sound. Anyone else encounter this?
Here is the “fix”! 2 Dealers in So. Cal confirmed it’s the cables that operate the up/down mechanisms. Both have replaced the cables. I called 15 dealer service advisors in So. Cal, Crown Lexus and San Diego Lexus have repaired the problem. There is no Service bulletin out yet. We’re going to travel the 100 miles to one of these dealers to get it fixed since they have taken apart the 3rd row seats. Can’t trust my dealer who said it was non-replaceable springs….lol
Communication with Crown Lexus dealer who has performed the 2 day repair of the 3rd row seats, that they have to inquire if the repair will be covered under warranty………Can only guess we all know the answer….no? I asked how were their last repairs were covered.
