My TX350 got better mileage after a couple of thousand miles. Usually around 23-24mpg mixed city/hwy. Best was about 28mpg for 1/4 tank steady hwy driving. My previous Highlander V6 got the same mpg on regular gas and had a lot better performance.
I am getting 21.x consistently. In fact, the readout hasn't changed since it started reporting and I am at just over 15k miles on it. This is very dissapointing. I knew the vehicle wasn't going to get Toyota Camry Hybrid mileage but I really thought this would be closer to the Toyota Grand Highlander efficiency.
I still wonder why Lexus/Toyota only offers the TX350/Highlander with a 4 cylinder. The mileage is about the same as the V6 but the performance is way less even with the required premium gas.

Probably emission.
I preferred the 500h for the Lexus or the Hybrid Max
I have a 350 that is averaging 19 mpg combined city/highway but mostly suburban short trips. By comparison my GLS 450 used to get 13-14, so this is a major step up.
