I don’t believe Lexus allows dealers to sell them out of state anymore…

I bought an extended warranty from Jerry for my 24 Tundra. He also sells Lexus extended warranties. Not sure if he can sell across state lines, but I plan to check on a warranty for our 25 TX when it arrives in a few days. He is a very busy guy and sometimes it takes more than one attempt to reach him.

Is this a Lexus extended warranty or 3rd party? If Lexus it seems like a pretty good deal if it covers everything.

This is a Toyota extended warranty on a 24 Tundra. We don’t have our TX yet, so I don’t know what the difference might be. The Tundra was a less expensive vehicle, but the Lexus base factory warranty covers more miles and time.

I emailed Jerry a few days ago last week. He can't sell to CA and WA state due to new law he indicated.

10 year - 125,000 Lexus Platinum $0 deductible - $4,455

I have cancelled two extended warranties after selling a vehicle by calling Lexus Financial, and they only charge $50 fee. I traded one for the TX and got $2,200 back, so I felt going to the $4,455 option wasn't too bad.

Lexus will be significantly more expensive than Toyota. There are options from 4 years to 10 years and up to 125,000 miles. You're going to want to get the Platinum one. It's the closest to the factory warranty.

https://www.lexusfinancial.com/us/en...greements.html

Just email him with your VIN and mileage, and he will send you quotes.

This was what I was offered today when purchasing a new TX 350:
  • Lexus OEM extended warranty
  • 7 year70k miles
  • $100 ded
Original price was $5655, when I did not bite he applied a costco discount to reduce the price to $4135. His final offer was $3099
I almost bought it but I did not like the games they were playing by trying to roll it into the loan.
Also parts typically wear by mileage, not time. We purchased a 7yr/100k warranty from Benz and easily hit the milage before the expiration. With Lexus, I'm only getting an extra 20k miles, which I may or may not need.

Was told that I would not be able to purchase Lexus extended warranty if I didn't buy today - is that true?
Typically manufacturers will sell it at any time before the original warranty expires. Of course you have to pay the current price, which will be higher.

No way lol. You dont need a warranty on this car like you did your Benz. Thats what the same warranty on my 2020 Mercedes S560 cost, insane to pay that for a Lexus.

And you can buy the extended warranty all the way up to the expiration of your original warranty. Dealer is lying to you.

Hopefully you said no. You can buy an extended warranty as long as the original factory warranty is still in effect. Most of the other warranties you have to buy at signing are stuff like ding and dent or wheel coverage. If you do want to buy one, I recommend Jerry. His information is earlier in the thread.

I just sent Jerry an Email to the address above [ jerry@midwestsuperstore.com ] and got a bounce back. Anyone know if he is still there?
