Default Weird Android Auto Issue

My wife is the primary drive of our TX. Regularly, when she makes/takes a call, the car the head unit behaves as expected, but then the voice audio will not work over bluetooth and she has to move if over to speaker hear/talk. I have never been able to recreate the issue (works fine when I test it in the garage) and I have unpaired/paired multiple times. Phone is a Pixel 9 Pro, everything is up to date; her phone has never had an issue in our other vehicle that she drives over the weekend.

Has anyone ever experienced a similar issue, or maybe heard of something similar? I searched for answers, but can't find the same problem on the google. Thanks!

Not really a solution, but a tip I found that helps a lot with ANY software buggy issues... not sure if well known. If you press and hold down the volume dial/power button for 5 seconds, it reboots and usually fixes the issues pretty quickly.

There are a slew of Android related issues with TX. The issue where you can't talk over bluetooth hits us fairly regularly. You can answer the call, but then hear nothing...you have to be quick to switch the phone off of bluetooth to be able to talk. We've seen this issue on Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 6 XL, Samsung Galaxy S24, etc. We also get crackly audio over bluetooth periodically.

The entire Android implementation is half-baked on the 2024+ Lexuses though the TX seems to be the worst that I've experienced.

I've been reporting this every time I go into my dealer since October 2023 when we first got the vehicle.

*My dealership just keeps telling me to report this each time I come in...they have other drivers impacted but no fix in sight.

I guess I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have a similar issue in a 2018 Ford where I can't answer calls, but can make them. The TX has been behaving lately, so hopefully something on the Android side has helped to correct it.
