TX500h Transmission issue
Had to have the transmission replaced in my TX500h at 200 miles and the vehicle is back at the dealership now with a little over 700 miles as RPM's stay at 3500 randomly. I wanted to see if anybody else is experiencing these issues? Very disappointed with the reliability of the TX that I purchased.

Probably a good policy. I previously had a 2011 LS 460 (I drove it 160k miles), and before that a 2005 Toyota Avalon, which my daughter wrecked in 2021.
I seem to have a decent specimen of the 2024 TX 350, but we'll see what happens.

Same here but I just knocked on wood and drank a 6 pack
Mine has 21,000 miles, and it’s in at the manufacturer right now with a transmission concern. It shifts abruptly or hard between first and second gear. It’s been there 2 days. Additionally, the middle row captain seat has a rattle, and there is a coolant leak. All of that said, I love the car, just need to get a few things sorted out.

I had a rattle on the rear passenger seat. it was the seat back incline adjustment vibrating against the side seat trim. I threw some loop side (velcro) behind the handle on both sides (left and right seats) and haven't heard anything since.
what is the story with the coolant leak? where is it coming from?
in sport mode it will hang on to gears longer. in normal or eco it will essentially short shift for fuel economy reasons. I have no complaints on the transmission after 12K miles.
This has to do with the 500h, GH max and also relates to RX500h and Tacoma max as well. There cases where the torque convertor is surged with power in which the transmission can't take it and fails. It may also be felt when you put it in reverse, as it is holding the power back between hybrid and gas. Unfortunately it seems to be complete design flaw with transmission, in which there fix is to just replace transmission as this case isn't always duplicated. There also rumors of them to soon do TSB to detune some of torque to avoid that much torque or power going to transmission.
Best case is you burn out the torque convertor prior to transmission there is already TSB on that for RX500h, not sure about TX or GH/Tacoma

are you in a 500h or are you in a 350? I have had no trans issues at all with my 350 and drive it like I stole it...

I have a 2024 TX 500h f Sport. 12400 miles.Transmission had been acting strange for months, and brought it to the attention of my Lexus Service Writer at the 10000 service. Transmission would rev high and not shift smoothly when accelerating from a stop. Other times transmission would seem to be in low gear when accelerating and not be able to speed up. Additionally, when shifting to Reverse from a parked position, an audible "Clunk" could be heard. Service technicians were unable to replicate any of my concerns. Now the biggest concern! Yesterday after exiting the freeway and stopping behind a line of cars, my transmssion began lurching and surging back and forth trying to engage. It would not shift, but just kept lurching wildly. I wasn't sure what to do, and just hit the start button and the violent jerking stopped. When I tried to start the car again, it wouldn't start and the "Ready" light would not come on. Cars behind me were honking and yelling, and I could just sit there. After about 30 seconds the car restarted and I was able to proceed with no further issues.
I have experienced this EXACT same isse before; in my 2023 RX 500h f Sport. I took it to the dealer and traded it on the spot for the TX, and being assured by the sales staff that the TX was not experiencing the same transmission problem. In my humble opinion, this is a design issue with the hybrid engine/transmission combination, since both the RX and TX 500h models have the same drivetrain and engine. In reviewing other comments, I can see that I'm not alone in the issue, and it concerns me that in many cases the only remedy is a new transmission. I've opened a case with Lexus Corporate, and my TX is going into the shop on Saturday for this issue and the screen recall. I'm very frustrated with the Lexus brand. I've lost a lot in trade-ins trying to escape the design flaws, and I doubt I'll ever purchase a Lexus again.

We have a 2026 TX500h we've owned for a week. Aside from rattles, the transmission has been very smooth. hopefully these kinks have been worked out.
