Recently traded in a 2021 platinum Highlander for the new luxury grade TX with most upgrades minus ML. Overall very happy with the quality and drive of the TX. One thing I noticed and was hoping someone could confirm for me is that Lexus uses lower quality cameras and parking guidance systems than Toyota? The backup cameras, parking grid lines, and camera resolution (especially the digital rear view) are all noticeably subpar compared to the 2021 Highlander I had. The Highlander’s parking guidance was precise and clear (as were the 360 views) - and the digital rear view was TV quality. The TX has a weird spherical picture, darker images, less helpful and precise guidelines, and the digital rear view is like a grainy old television. Are all my cameras duds on the new TX or the Highlander just had better cameras all around? It’s perfectly usable - I was just surprised (and a little disappointed) going from a three year old Toyota to a brand new model Lexus that the Highlander would have better tech in this department.
