I am looking into an NX for my parents and one feature that would be very helpful for them is the surround view camera. They are having trouble parking their car they have now as modern cars are full of blind spots. I am having trouble finding out if this is an option only available on the premium trim levels or if you can spec it on a base model. Thanks for your help!

 

The rear view camera is standard on all models. There is no 360 degree camera option on the NX.

 

i believe someone on this forum mentioned it is available in some markets, just not North America.

 

Mine has it. Malaysia.

 

In North America, there are aftermarket ones, but you would have to hack into your Nav, and by doing that you have to pretty much remove your entire console. Lots of work. Honestly think it would be helpful tho, I've owned my car for 9 months and still find myself correcting my parking job.

 

In Europe I have it too, and it works great. Not only for parking also when you drive slowly in tight locations. or you can see already when you come out of a garage what's going on.

 

The Toyota Rav4 which shares the same platform as the NX has it...go figure.
