this is just another reason I dumped this car. It is quite clear the engineers at Lexus rushed the TX to market. How do you produce 50k cars with an amplifier that causes their premium stereo package to sound like crap. My bmw HK system which is not the top option has dual subs under the seats and sounds great.
between the airbag issue, stereo, sunroof, seat squeak, dash screen squeak, and more it’s very apparent corporate was quick to rush it to dealer lots only a little more than half baked…
We took delivery in May 2025 with a build date of 4/25. The amplifier came updated from the factory with part 86280-0E331. I haven't experienced any issues with the squeaks or rattles in 1200 miles, so maybe they got worked out. My only complaint is a 17.8 gallon gas tank on this huge vehicle with a range of 330 miles (same as my 2018 GX). They should have used the 22 gal. from the new GX to get the range over 400.
Just got home to listen to the car after the amplifier replacement. Huge improvement! Finally! Substantially improved bass response at lower volumes and improved frequency response across the whole spectrum with decreased harshness of highs. I now have surround sound turned on which really helps staging.
I am very happy with this fix! This is what I expected from a luxury audio system for a car in this class. It’s now a good, balanced audio system that I can play multiple genres of music on.
I would advise everyone to make an appointment with their dealer as soon as possible to get this fix. Please note that there have been reports in the TX owner community that some dealers are still unable to find/not acknowledging this TSB. Make sure and print it out and bring it with you for reference to alleviate any headaches.

That's really terrific news! Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the new amplifier. Good on Lexus for making this right! Hopefully, all the dealerships will come through eventually.
Took delivery on Monday of a 550h. Car has a build date of 5/25 and, using instructions in another thread, checked in the head unit menu to see if our car had the updated amplifier and software and it does.

How long did it take for the dealer to get the new amp? I took my tx 500h for its 10k service and brought the TSB up and printed it out for then and showed it when I took it in for service. They claimed they ordered it then, however they later informed its on back order, its been about 3 weeks now and I'm still waiting on the dealer to get the new amp.

I'm two weeks into the "2 - 4 week" backorder on the amp. I took my TX500h in for the TSB and an oil change two weeks ago. I'd advised them on the TSB a week before I took the truck in, but they didn't bother to place the order for the amp then. They waited until I actually took the TX in. Not happy with that.
