Unbalanced??
Now that everyone has helped me with the tires size question, I have another for you.
I put on 4 225/55/16 Blizzak's LM-22
I have had the wheels balanced twice (In 2 weeks) by two different tires guys and I still have a side to side shake at speeds between 60-70.
If I am coming around a curve, or just move the wheel slightly from side to side at these speeds, the wheel has a shake like the tires are out of balance.
Over the weekend I took the car to a Goodyear store, and for 69.00 I still have the same problem.
Any suggestions??
Thanks

The last time I had a problem like yours, it was a tire problem. I watched the guy do the balancing both times. He even went so far as to "round" these new tires by shaving rubber off like peeling an apple. It still didn't make any difference. After the owner of the tire shop did the balancing and then he personally drove the car, he said he couldn't understand the shake but he didn't know what else to do.
I realized it wasn't shaking before I put the new tires on. It was shaking now. Tires were balanced. I then made a decision to buy another brand of tires. I went to Sam's, bought another brand, the vibration immediately went away.
I know a guy who is a tire maker at Yokohama. He was a customer of mine. Do you know what they do with the "perfect" tires? THey ship them to Japan. Do you know what they do with the others? We get to buy them here in the US. He explained this "x-ray" analysis they do where as each tire is coming off the line (same size and brand) it highlights slight imperfections and such and how only the very best ones go to Japan.
Maybe you got some USA bound Blizzaks
