I believe the more appropriate question would be what is the treadwear rating. With that said, those particular tires are rated at 300. I would guess that it should last 30,000 to 35,000 miles with the assumption your camber is within OEM specs, proper maintenance is done consistently, and you drive conservatively. Again, this would be my guess.

Actually, treadwear rating is just next to meaningless...
It is a number that is made up by the tire manufacturer per the manufacturers own internal testing. It is not a standardized test across all manufacturers. A tire with a 300 treadwear rating from Brand X may last longer than a tire with a 500 treadwear rating from Brand Z... The government does not care about these numbers, and tire manufacturers are not even required to report them...

Yeah, that's what I read on Wiki prior to posting. One of the things I do when searching for tires is to look at the tread. It's obviously not accurate by any means, but more meat means more sticky.

Thanks for the info guys. I ended up going with the 245/35/20 hankook ventus and they are pretty good tires so far. The hankook is 280 utqb rating. The guy at the rim shop said as long as i keep up with the air pressure and rotate the tires every 6k miles I should be able to get about 35k.
