wheel stud
yesterday i was rotating my wheels. when a stud broke off. when replacing the stud do i have to get it pressed in? can anyone tell me what tools i need? PLEASE i have the studs just need the know how.

In that last link, Emerald uses a regular hammer, but you should be careful as you can bend the wheel mounting plate if you're not. The easier tool to use would be an air compressed hammer gun, but a regular hammer works too, just be careful and tap it lightly until it comes out.

I used an impact gun to have my stud pulled in tightly. We just put the stud in through the back of the hub and put the lug on the front of the stud and used an impact gun to torque the lug until it pulled the bolt/stud completely through. If you use this method be careful and take your time

^^^impact gun/air compressed hammer gun. It's MUCH easier than with a regular hammer, or take the car to a tire shop, where you can have them all replaced and properly torqued for under $10 if it's only one stud..

You'd be surprised how far you can drive, so long as the wheel is flush with the rotor.
