Bumping this up because I have a GS460 with adjustable suspension all round looking to go back to OEM. User above posted that this specific part number just came out with AVS from KYB, although when searching this part number on Rock Auto it says with out active suspension, I am a little confused.
Could anyone shed some light here?
By the way @S2Kiwi if you see this post I would love to talk to you some more. I am also in Auckland with a GS 460 and I would really love to pick your brains about this car.

Hi, I am new to the forum today and I do not own a Lexus but instead a 2011 Toyota GRS204 which use the same suspension with AVS as a 3rd generation Lexus GS350. I have a bad rear shock and I want to replace the pair along with the mount so just to be clear, this replacement KYB 7210006 which is listed on rockauto.com as "Rear; w/ Adaptive Variable Suspension" will in fact leave the AVS functional, correct? Also the KYB SM5597 says "Rear; Except Adaptive Control Suspension" which is what you show in your photo. If AVS remains functional then it must mean the same for the front KYB 7210007 and KYB 7210008 which both state "Front Left/Right; RWD; w/ Adaptive Variable Suspension
I live far away in the Caribbean so I can't afford to make mistakes since returning is not an option!
Thank you for the reply!!!
Update folks. On the rears, I installed KYB GS350 shocks that support AVS, along with new mounts. It was a no brainer.
I lamented the fronts however, since only OEM support AVS currently, and I didnt feel like dropping close to $1000 for a function that I do not ever use.. But yesterday I checked Rockauto, and they had a pair of front non AVS shocks on closeout, so I decided to snag them. I
I'll hold onto them for now, and get some mounts in the future, before I have them installed. Not sure which mounts to get however..

I recently dithered over this and went with OEM after talking to a couple of suspension types familiar with the matter. Even though KYB supplies Toyota/Lexus their replacements are not identical to their supplied OEM specs. Supposedly Toyota/Lexus maintains the rights to the specified particulars, hence the difference between OEM and KYB replacements. The cost difference amounted to a couple hundred bucks and I'm content with my decision. YMMV, but if you can't return them...
