Default Fender liner clearance after lowering

For those of you tucking some tire, how do you get fender liner clearance when you drive? Did you just remove the liner?

Pics for reference. At the current ride height, the tire hits the fender.

What's your front wheel specs? Did you have your front fenders rolled? You can also trim part of your liner where it meets the fender.

My front fenders are rolled and the liner is trimmed where it meets the fender. But some people opt to shave them as well. That way you get clearance to avoid the issue you're having.

No fenders aren't rolled. Ideally, I'd roll/cut all the fenders and trim the liner. The car is still at the shop so I need to check it out when I get the car back. For now, I had them raise the car 1/2".

I just let the tire rub the fender liner away and then i patch up the holes - but it's a continuous cycle of patching up the holes lol

For the rears, is anyone else rubbing like crazy over big dips in the rear. I clear the rear fender fine but the tire seems to be catching on something inside the fender. I'm running 2.5 degree of camber in the rear.

Edit: your wheels specs are extremely close to mine but i'm not as low as you.

Your wheel specs are fairly close to mine. I'd say to roll the fronts and trim the liner. For the rears, I'd recommend to shave them to get the most clearance. You'll also want to consider getting a rear camber kit so you can run a little more camber if needed. Where in So Cal are you located?

I have the SPC arms, but the shop strongly recommended that I don't install them due to tendency to get knocked out of spec. Do you guys have this issue?
yeah, I'm asking them to shave the rear fenders.
What are you using to patch the fender liners? Maybe I'll let them rub off too

nothing so far or that I have Noticed with the SPc arms. For the rear, there is some metal that should be shaved that’s under the liner - towards the rear of the car.

cool, maybe ill just do it myself when I get the car back. What'd you use to seal the exposed metal? Primer then paint or something more aggressive?

I don't think you want to tuck and drive .. isn't that like a 3" drop? You should probably have at least a 1-2 finger gap if you want the suspension and steering to clear.

My M3 tucks a little bit, but that's a different car. I guess I have to see the lexus in person to figure out what I want my ride height to be. It's still at the shop.

Where are you located? I can refer you to someone to have your fenders and quarter panels shaved and sealed.

I'm in SoCal. How much does it cost to have them shaved and sealed?

This is the current ride height after raising it 1/2"

@DuB I have the same issue you have with the fender liner (but on my IS when completely air-ed out). If you peal back the front section you will find out there is a bracket behind the liner that connects the fender to the bumper. That's why the liner bulges out there, so you would need to handle that, then you can try heat treatment to warp the liner away.

Thanks for the heads up! Maybe I'll take a look when I have some free time.
They actually ended up raising the car about half an inch, and cutting/sealing the rear fenders. I put on 10mm spacers on the back to get the rims to clear the cups, and the rear tires rub on big dips. Then with the whole covid thing happening, there's no traffic on the road, so I'm noticing huge bumps on the freeway now that I never noticed before because I'm driving at normal speeds now, so I actually drive most of the time with it aired up halfway. So much for going lower haha.
