I live in the UK, and can see lots on the GS350, with these three springs being commonly used:
1. Swift Sport
2. Tanabe NF210
3. RSR Down Sus
2 and 3 state they are suitable for the 450h on their websites. But the stated spring spec's are exactly the same as the spec for the 350.
My concern is, does the additional weight of the hybrid battery at the rear of the 450h have a detrimental effect, and make it noticeably lower at the rear compared to the front?
Main interest: Have you lowered your 450h and if so, what springs did you use? Happy with the results?
My aim is to reduce body roll and to improve handling whilst largely maintaining ride comfort. The most straightforward and cost efficient route is via suitable lowering springs. Happy to hear about other suitable and proven methods that you may have used on your 450h, but am keen not to stray off topic.
Not many 4th gen 450h's that are lowered, but many GS350's. The end look should be similar for both - I don't think the hybrid batteries will affect it that much.
(Its not mu car on the picture) I have black 450h with the same wheels. I think its too low. Im considerinf of bying Swift 4T911 springs to my car
You're not concerned with using springs designed for the 350? The 450h has 3-400 extra pounds in the rear.
I'm looking for either coil overs or lowering springs for the 450h and the only option for lowering springs seems to be RS-R Downs. I wish we had a coilover option from a reputable manufacturer.
This white 450h has RSR downs and 20" wheels. It was my friends car. To me its litlle bit too low and i think i get the Swift springs. Yes the 450h is little bit heavier but... no matter its not much. Tanabe NF210 is also option. Swift has 0.8inch drop i think its enough
wow, that looks very low! I haven't bitten the bullet yet, but am seriously considering Tanabe NF210. They have an image on their website of them on a 450h, looks good and not too low.
Tanabe NF210 Front is lower than RS-R down springs and rear ise little bit higher. That mean its even lower on front end than the white GS on the picture. To me its little bit too low
