Default Gs450h shocks

I have searched on this information. Gathered that I have limited choices.

Either bcbr or replace with oem shock with nf210/f sports spring. Is tokico or kyb a better option to oem?

If your intention is to lower the vehicle then I would look at a coilover setup for the GS450H. As most of the lowering springs are designed for GS350's, the 450H has extra weight in the rear because of the hybrid battery. So if you ran lowering springs the rear would most likely sag in the rear. A coilover will allow you to adjust the ride height, and most the shock dampening. I dont think lexus Fsport makes a specific spring for the hybrid, I maybe wrong.

KYB shocks are what the oem lexus use, so they will give you oem ride. I do not know much about the tokico for the GS's.But I would assume it is more sportier then oem.

No my intention is to get a firmer ride. Since my shocks are leaking I thought it's a good time to look at coilover. I tried searching for tokico and kyb but return none for this model.

If you are looking for GS450h rated springs check my thread. The springs have provided a firmer feel without being harsh. (a lot of information in there...I also included measurements of the drop right after install and a couple months later.) When selecting coilovers, you should be aware of the rear weight, and get them sprung accordingly. If you are looking to eliminate body roll get f-sport sway bars. I am riding on a combination of the above springs and sway bars and am happy with the setup. I believe our shocks are kyb stock.

OP what did you decide? I'm in the same boat. The cost of replacing all the struts with OEM is almost $1k so I'm thinking about coilovers but want don't want to affect my ride comfort too much but want the flexibility to lower the car a little bit.

I was in the same boat as you, I wanted a higher quality product and got BC racing coilovers. Height adjustable, and dampening setting 1-30 But they ride alot stiffer than stock, even 25 clicks from MAX because the strut travel is alot less than stock. If you dont live in a place with horrible streets like Philadelphia, you would be ok. I guess it also doesnt help that I have Michelin Pilot Sport AVS3 tires which are very hard sidewall, they feel like runflats, but handle great though.

I have my left side slightly higher than the right side.
