Default Suspension questions

Hi all. I have a 2008 gs350 AWD w/54k miles and I'm wondering what I should look out for related to the suspension. Are there particular parts that wear out by this mileage? I doubt any of the previous owners needed to change anything, but NYC streets will chew the hell out of a cars suspension.
I took my car to a trusted mechanic friend of mine and he said everything checks out, but I feel like the car has this ongoing wobble/tremor while driving at times. I don't know if it's in my own head or if I'm overlooking something lol.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Uneven road surface?
I feel that at times.

Possibly. NY streets are horrible. I'm just curious on what the life of the parts typically are from members experience here with the 3GS like struts, axles, and control arms mainly and mileage they usually wear out. My previous car was a 2001 Maxima and I was in a committed relationship with that cars suspension lol. So I'm hoping the 3GS doesn't have as constant of a suspension upkeep 😁

No, it's not lowered at all. I had a mechanic friend check my car out and he said everything was fine, BUT my brake pads don't all have their shims in place which he mentioned can give some uneven feeling to the ride. Is this a legit reason that brake shims can make the car feel like its not smooth riding? It's not overly noticeable, and on really smooth freshly paved road, it's not even noticeable (if at all) which leads to me to think it can be uneven road surfaces (much of NYC roads are patch jobs and surprise potholes/bumps in the roads) unless brake shims, or lack of, would cause a slight vibrations/wobble to the car.

Also, I've come to notice that if I make a U-turn, and cut my wheel all the way to the left, that the car kinda "trips" while turning. Is this a precursor to a going bad control arm or axle? If so, this may be the reason I feel what I've mentioned.

Thanks for the help!

All I've done about this has been a wheel alignment and wheel balance. It made some difference, but I think the issue may be a dying suspension part. I'll update if anything changes and I notice a difference
