Default Air Suspension Question

Hey CL anyone put their Air tank in the place of the donut ? i am thinking about removing my donut and getting a circular tank that will fit in place of the donut but in order to do that i wanted to know the Size and stuff and if possible the links to when i can buy it and also the price range for that type of tank.

Thank you in advance.

That doughnut is VERY tiny and they certainly didn't leave any extra room under or around it. It's either going to have to be a custom tank or a small tank. I haven't seen any off the shelf tanks that would fit unless they're really small. I tucked mine as far back as possible and still have a decent amount of trunk space left.

i'm glad someone posted about this, this was one of my main concerns...fitment. I read about pancake tanks but i also saw some where discontinued. I don't know if it was because of people not using them of if they had issues with them but if not a lot of people use them then i'll stick with a regular tank.

has anyone just made an enclosure for their air system so the tank is not as exposed?

i lie to you not, the first picture with the matte black/copper is what i was going for. and here i thought i was going to be doing something lol.

i like those set ups. Has anyone, other than AirRex done a box for there's so that in case you still use your trunk, it wouldn't hit anything?

I have fit 3 gallons in the spare tire well with no issues ... The airrex tank is a little taller but youjust have to raise the floor ..

2 3Gal tanks and 2 comps in the spare tire area? Sounds like a job for batman and robin! Haha

I'd attempt it, but I'm kinda fond of the idea of having a spare. I'd never hear the end of it if I stranded the wife somewhere out of town with no spare tire because I needed room for air tanks lol.

Thanks for the help ill now consider leaving the tank as it is and try to finish it up in a clean manner i like the way yours is setup and i can certainly work on it that way.
