Default Cutting the bump stop when lowering?

When just adding lowering springs(Tanabe/Eibach), are you supposed to always cut the bump stops? I just ordered the Eibach Pro-Kit and the online directions didn't mention anything. I know on my old GS430(Gen 2) I had to cut the bump stops when I installed DF210's. Do you just cut off roughly 1" or whatever the expected spring drop is? I wasn't sure if this was the rule of thumb.

Thanks,
Todd

No you dont have to. I didnt when I had the DF on my 3gen GS. Eibach is a 1" drop if I recall so I wouldnt. I never had any issues with the DF springs and that was a 2" drop.
