Hey guys..can you give me some input and maybe some pics. I'm going to lower my 350 AWD on DF210s. The instructions say to cut the bump stops 15-25mm. What have you guys done or suggest? i don't want to be slammed..but lower than nf210. Does the bump stop affect ride quality/bounce? Thanks!!!
yes they should be cut. when you lower a car with springs, you are shortening the travel of the strut. theres less room for the strut to compress when you hit a bump. without cutting the bump stop it gives you even less room.

Very true and that's the reason why they recommend cutting them. But, I elected not to cut them and hit the bumpstop if I hit a large bump so that I can protect my stock shocks. These stock shots are meant to compress that much. It was my way of protecting them.
Your suspension would be sitting on the bumpstop making it for harsh ride... And the fact that the spring won't fully lower to the factory specification.
Are you referring to cutting or not cutting? I'm so confused....

Negative. The car only hits the bump stops at full compression. Not cutting them will cause your car to hit the bump stops earlier due to less travel but will save your shocks.

it all depends. cutting them wont hurt the struts. the only thing that will hurt them is if you hit a big enough bump and the strut bottoms out.
