Default alignment after lowering on 07 350 AWD

I just got my car lowered with NF210 and so far I did not feel any vibration at all. I will need to see how it will go. My mechanic(putting supercharger into his E class AMG by himself: absolute speed nut!!) told me not to worry about it since it is only about an inch drop when I asked about the alignment. I did search the forum but could not find the conclusive answer. Thanks again for help in advance.

I believe with the NFs it should still be able to be realigned back into spec. So if your asking if it needs it, YES.

get it aligned if you can. even with a mild drop, some onwers are dealing with the camber issue, uneven tire wear.

Sorry, but have to hijack OP
1) How long should you wait to get alignment done after lowering?
2) If changing wheels after alignment, it does not have to be redone correct?

^ from the info i gathered here..
wait until springs settle. if you change your wheels, get another alignment, just like when you change your tires.

I lowered my 08 GS350AWD, installed the F-Sport (can't be happier). I had the alignment done right away. The guy who did the lowering is a mechanic at a local dealership, so he did everything at their shop, and the alignment machine was right there. We did not check the alignment before lowering, only after, and it was slightly off on the front. He was able to bring everything to specs.

Yeah with a minor drop like the F-Sport springs, everything can be realigned within specs. It's usually the front that wears more tire due to the toe being thrown off.

Any drop period, you need to have your alignment redone. You will get more wear without doing it.

It's only $100 bucks or so, well worth it.

My mechanic told me it is waste of money with an inch drop and my rear is not camber adjustable to begin with. He always tells me the truth and he is onle of those modification guru who is star certified MB master mechanic. He told me that his AMG was lowered an inch long time ago and he does not have any wear issue at all. has trans-am with 750 hp capable of doing ***** and currently putting supercharger onto his E-class AMG for more power let alone building his own motorcycle from scratch.. I was planning to get the alignment this weekend but now I am thinking since he was so convincing.

Regarding the vibration which I do feel now at stop, I am just not sure if I had it prior to the installation or not. The mechanic thinks that CV joint is out of the question since it is happening when the car is at stop. He think that I probably had the vibration before too but now it is being amplified through the shorter and stiffer spring. Possibly with softer motor mount, he think the overall vibration can be reduce and I would feel less of it in the cabin. Comments welcome!!

Your mechanic doesn't know jack. Sorry man, anytime you drop a car, your tires/wheels are placed at a different angle. They WILL wear faster than they should without a alignment. I know someone off the G forums that didn't do it. 3000 miles later, he wore out his new tires on the inside already where he had to get new ones and an alignment.

Many of us here know a lot more than many ASE mechanics. Go get an alignment check. They are free at many places.

Motormounts will cause vibrations if one is shot.
