there are no springs specifically made for the AWD. with that in mind, Tanabe NF210 and Lexus F-Sport lowering springs will drop it down about an inch to 1.4 inches in the front. you may encounter vibrations after you lower the car. I haven't installed my F-Sport springs yet...still waiting to do the whole wheel/tire/spring installation all at once. I believe the Tanabe run about 275 and the F-Sport can be had from Sewell for around 250. Good luck and welcome to the club!

We have had a few members who lowered AWD's and had issues with vibrations. I would just stick with a set of nice wheels and go with a 255/30/ 20 al the way around not a 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 to eat up some of the gap. The Audi guys do the drops all of the time. I wonder if they can explain why vibration can be induced when lowered. I think that people will get vibration with staggered wheels on a AWD car because the car can tell there is a discreprancy between the rate of turn of the front and rear tires. This will induce the AWD system to assume that there is a slip therefore shifting grip. When you have staggered wheels it will stimulate this response continuously

not entirely true. a lot of audi people put staggered setup on awd cars and they never have any problems.

245/35/20 and 285/30/20, their diameters are 26.75 and 26.73 inches, that's 0.07% difference in diameter. there is no way the awd system will be able to detect that kind of difference, otherwise even 1psi less in pressure in one of the stock tire and the car will vibrate like hell already.

from what i read, vibrations have been from the non-awd springs on the awd cars. this could be due to a lot of reasons, especially since the front suspensions are different between rwd and awd

to OP, if you really want to lower the car, i would suggest getting the coilover for the awd GS instead

ksports will be out soon. I am just waiting for the lift to be put in their new facility so i can take my car down for measurements.

as for staggered wheels/tires, i am staggered running the set up i8abmr recommended against and i have no problems what so ever. they are also larger than stock, so I will be running a smaller set when i need new tires. I am going to run 225/35 and 255/30 on my next set. people lower subies and evos all the time too with no problems.

some people run the nf210s with out vibrations, some people get vibrations. its hit or miss really. the only way to be 100% not to get vibrations is to not lower the car. my biggest complaint against the nf210 is that the car just looks like a stock rwd with them, so u spend damn near $500 after install to look like a stock car still. the ksport coilovers will most likely be cheaper than the bc racing coilovers if price is an issue.

welcome to the forum...jayz check our nardeezys post on awd's that are lowered. there's a spring offered by road magnet...retrospexo(sp) ran them on his ride then switched to the nf's. i'm on nf's also...would do the coilovers if cost wasn't an issue.

Anyone using the DF210's without problems ? And Coilovers may give you a much stiffer ride according to the spring rates you get.

Some AWDs come with vibrations as a stock option.

The springs probably just amplify it.

I noticed the vibration when I was running stock and when I dropped my car on F Sport springs, I noticed a very slight increase in vibration (especially noticeable after a cold start).

It all depends on what you're willing to live with. Personally I would not hesitate to drop my car again for the ever so slight increase in vibration.
