Spring Installation
Also take into account how busy the shop is. Some shops will have you bring in your car and queue it to work on later. So that 2-3 hour install time can just as easily become a day or two.
So, which springs are you getting? NF or DF?

I paid about $175 for my NF springs and had them installed in So. Cal for $200. Took the advice of the forum members and had my car aligned two weeks later. Rides nice and looks so much better then stock. It looked like a rally car stock :-) Just waiting on my 20's now.

Thanks everyone for the info. I purchased the nf210 springs and have received some ridiculously expensive quotes for installation here in VA. (i.e: $500 at one place, $700 at another) Hopefully I'll find a shop that charges a more reasonable price to get them installed.
Let me know where you end up taking your whip. Eventually, I'd like to get the same thing done. I've heard there are some good places in NOVA.
Wow, its amazing the price difference. Cost me $200 to have my springs installed. See the attached thread for the details and pics.

I think it might be a similar situation with the lowering springs. NoVa is a very rich suburbia, and I bet there isn't much demand for such work; hence lower supply; hence higher prices.
Plus the labor rates for everything are outrageous here!
I bet it's all about demand and supply levels. When I lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, there were tens of shops that did windows tinting; so I had two cars done for like a $120 each. When I moved to NoVa, I found that there were only 2-3 shops that did tinting, and the prices were in the upper $200, lower $300 area.

I couldn't agree with you more. I moved down here from NY a little over a year ago and was surprised how much more the rates are. I don't mind paying a little but more, but paying $500 and up for a spring installation is a straight rip-off. I'm going to look around and if I can't find anything at a reasonable price, I will just bring it to NY to get the job done (since I go up there at least once a month).
