Well I'm new and I have alot of questions so here goes one of many. I searched the other posts but can't find any info on the TRD brake kit for the GS400. Has anyone ever tried it or using it currently? I really would like the Brembo kit but don't want to spend $3000 on brakes when the TRD kit comes with everything front and rear, including stainless steel lines for $1400.
Secondly, I seem to be getting alot of road noise from the floor of the car at speeds of 80 mph or greater. I still have the stock 17 inch tires on the car (Goodyear RSA) and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to reduce the noise such as dynamat the floor etc. I plan on running some 19" wheels when I get the funds together and I realize that this will increase the noise but I want to keep it as low as possible.
I think he's talking about the Supra TT setup. But then again, for $1400 that would have been too expensive. A TRD setup would have set you back over $2000. Where'd u get the hookup bud?
i was told by two lexus master tech guys that the IS and GS share the same brake system. that is why the IS has excellent brake rating, even at stock set up
I think the design of the IS and GS brake pads are the same, and both use the same calipers, pads and rotors.
I expect that the brackets might be a little bit different tho. Probably because of marketing reasons TRDUSA did not introduce (or forgot to post on the website) the TRD"Stoptech".
Probably most people with GS will go for the Supra TT, while these Supra calipers need to be modified a bit before they fit an IS.

Unless the GS people upgrade their wheels, the Supra TT calipers won't work for them either.
