hey guys, the tabs on the strut that bolt to the frame, are they there for ease of install, or stabilization? they were cut off on one side, and that side is squeaking really bad. its so horrible , i just wanted to have a nice ride again. i had to order a used carrier because the bolts were seized on one side. it was a nightmare. so one side is not making noise , and the side with the tabs cut off squeak. do i just take it out and reinstall it, or is it possible the spring isnt sitting right ( this was one of those units where the spring comes with the sturt. had a mechanic tell me that this happens with those? ). its driving me crazy. to tears really. sound like a junk car. i have NOT torqued the suspension bolt to spec yet.

second question, im stupid. how do reset the bushings? lower the car, let it settle, then jack it up again? or do i have to do on the ground and work around the tire? i dont think the top bolt can be done with the tire on. i know its dumb. you can tell me that. its ok lol

You mean the bracket on the strut that holds the brake line?

no, sorry. there are 2 tabs on the top of the strut that slide over bolts horizontally in the upper wheel well. (as opposed to the 3 in the trunk vertical). the picture yoou submitted is not for a rear 2006 is250
