Default Rear grinding

Last night I was driving and I went to stop at the stop sign and the VRC and trac off lights came on and it's kind of hard to stop so I turn the car off turn it back on the lights are off but now there's a grinding noise from the back when I hit the brakes any idea why this would random hapoen

Check remaining rear brake pad material to start, and check for trouble codes as well.

Or jack up the rear and put it in gear with friend/wife/sister etc in drivers seat and put it in gear while your back there to asses where the noise is coming from.
(might be better to take tires off too)

After I did my rear disc swap, i found that the P.O. pried off/back the little metal tabs (I call them screechers that tell you that your pads are at a minimum, and need to be refreshed/changed with resurface of rotors) that are connected to the little pads themselves.
BUT, you should be able to go to a local parts store Chain and have them clear your codes AFTER they print them out the results for you..
If there's more than ABS CEL/warning, you can address those also.
