Default 2016 IS200T Brake Pad Reccomendations

My 2016 IS200t has 21k miles on it and during the 20k mile service they told me i needed brake pads. The dealer quotes me $280 to replace the front brakes.

I'm looking for suggestions on what i should do. Should i just bring it to the dealer and get OEM pads that will need to be replaced in 20k more miles?

Should i purchase some after market pads (hopefully with longer life) and just have some independent shop install them for me?
If so which pads should i get? I want the stopping performance to be as close to the original as possible(or better).

Thanks!

Oem pads are only around $60 bucks for the fronts and they are super easy to install. Many opt for akebono pads which have less brake dust with slightly less initial bite. Independent shop will charge you about $50 for installing the fronts and $20 to resurface the rotors if you need it.

Personally, the pads are so cheap and so easy to install, i would just stick with oem pads.
