Parking Brake Stuck / Sticking Issue
Hello,
Has anyone had the problem with a sticking parking brake?
Basically I try to release it (even numerous times back to back), the dash still says the parking brake is engaged.
Started yesterday, and today it took a little longer to turn off and even randomly turned on while I was driving, which is annoying because it beeps non-stop.
Probably something I should take it in for, but I was seeing if anyone had a tip or quick fix.
Thanks in advance!

Do you physically feel that your rear parting brakes are still engaged?
Pedal movement is good?
The BRAKE light on the dash only goes to a wire on the pedal to indicate if it is depressed or not.
Maybe double check your brake fluid level is at good point.
Typically the "BRAKE" light in vehicles is also indicator for that as well. (not sure if it is for 3IS)

Thanks for the feedback and tips.
It physically engages/disengages fine. Just the brake light stays on. I'll check the fluid, but it seems more connected to the parking brake.
It's more of a problem when I first start the car in the morning. Iono maybe it's a cold or overnight thing. But during the day it's okay.

The brake light is duel purpose...it's for the parking brake and the fluid level.
Check the level first like spec suggested.
If the fluid is fine, then it's the parking brake pedal light circuit that's the issue...since it doesn't appear that the parking brake is physically not releasing.

I think both of you were right. Probably braking level fluid. It turns off and on because depending on the slope I'm driving on, its either fine or too low.
Thanks for the help!
