I have little knowledge, but I can tell you what I just ran into. I am sitting about 147k on my '08 IS350 sport. I started having a harsh knocking noise on my front passenger side tire area. It was obviously suspension. The ride had gotten pretty darn harsh over the last 12 months. I took it in to a local foreign car specialist yesterday. Got the call today that both the front shocks and mounts are worn out. Right shock mount is destroyed. He said what it looked like is that someone had installed fsport shocks without changing out the rest of the suspension causing a length mismatch. This length mismatch prematurely wore out the front shocks and destroyed the right mount. He is replacing with OEM factory shocks and mounts. Obviously, I will have to do the same on the back at some point. The rear has the same setup. I do not know if that helps in any way, other than to say make sure the whole suspension is designed to work together or you will replace prematurely and could do more damage.
