Default Question re. IS250 suspension

Hey, bit of a stupid question...

I was looking through some of the parts available from Sewell and noticed there are f-sports springs and shocks...

I assume that the F-Sport package Lexus offers is equipped with both, or does it use the F-Sport springs running on non f-sport shocks?

Would the 1-inch drop with the F-Sport springs on the standard IS250 AWD shocks create a bumpy, firm ride? Could it also greatly depreciate the life expectancy of the shocks?

The F-Sport package is different, not to be confused of F-Sport accessories. The F-Sport package spring/shocks is a sport spring (which is linear) - it stiffens the car a bit and drops the car about 0.4" at the front and none in the back.

Note, the F-Sport springs is aggressive so it maybe harder to predict the feel. Also note, the springs/shock is meant for RWD, not AWD.

Yeah I think you can do that. There are CL members who have done it - they can help fill you in on the info.

Just make sure what you do, that it's correclty so you don't compromise the AWD drive train.

NOT NECESSARILY TRUE- if you go to sewell's page they list them for both (AWD and RWD)--same part number in bold.

I am curious, i am thinking of getting the springs with no shocks on my AWD.

However the intructions state:
Recommended Sequence of Application
F-Sport Springs should be installed at the same time as F-Sport Shocks

The springs are the same for AWD/RWD, the shocks are not the same.

The instructions are referring to the installation order (if you are doing multiple accessories, what order should the be done in. They are just saying you will do both at the same time).
