Default Question about struts

I installed F-sport lowering springs yesterday and during the process, noticed the rods of the front struts do not come back up after being pushed down by hand. Since Im fairly new to Lexus, I want to make sure these cars dont come with some kind of special strut that makes this movement normal. Or is this a definite sign of worn struts? Probably a dumb question but doesnt hurt to ask Car has 50k miles

The rears are still good. I'll be ordering the fronts in the next day or two. Im hoping this will fix the vibration problem I posted about not too long ago. In the meantime, I'll post a couple of photos of it lowered on F-sport springs. Love how it came out

A buddy of mine had to replace his at 40K! He drives on some nightmare roads though so he put his IS through some abuse.

If the SHOCKs are no rebounding at all...they're toast.

I just made a thread regarding the F sport lowering springs. So how do you like the drop, u think it's enough? I just want something to compliment new rims I'll be getting nothing too crazy so I think f sport springs are the route I'll be going. No need to keep swapping coils and stock susoenintfor winter /summer I'll just leave the springs on all year. I think I'll also get new struts with it.

Its a nice moderate drop. I like it. However, dont know if Im just becoming more **** or if I just want this car to look perfect or close to it, but the uneven look front and back is bugging me a little. That was expected because these springs lower the car the same amount and the car sits uneven with stock height but I didnt think it would bother me. The rears look good. The front has a slightly bigger gap, and I'd like to have this gap about the same as the rear for a nice even look. Also the RF gap is a little bigger than the LF gap, but this is likely due to the car more than the springs

So Ive been tossing around the idea of just going with coilovers for ease of installation and being completely content that the ride is even all the way around and having it just a little bit lower. Like I said, I have no idea why this is bugging me now lol when this isnt the first car I've lowered. F-sport springs do provide a nice drop that looks better than stock and doesnt slam the car. If I do go with coils, the F-sport springs will be for sale. Im still undecided on what to do. I do know Im not spending a crazy amount of money on coils if I go that route
