Default Confused: Caster vs Control Arm. Same?

150k miles so Im trying to replace the most problematic bushing(s), however in my research I'm getting the impression that Caster and Control are used interchangeably for our car. Is this right? I want to make sure before I make a purchase.

This is where I got the Caster Arm term:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...s-of-pics.html

However when I look it up, even the site the OP recommended initially (he changed to another brand 2nd run) is referring to the bushings as Control Arm. This is way too confusing. Can someone please shed a little bit of light here?

Thanks,
Capitone

The caster arm is also referred to as the #2 control arm for our vehicles. The part that he refers to in his post as the "#1 suspension arm" is the actual lower control arm (or #1 control arm, if you will).

Same car, same year, same side, same description….different pics, different part numbers. Smh…or maybe Im missing something in my frustration.

Ah! I think I figured it out looking at the pics in the very 1st link (caster arm DIY).

Link 1 is for the # 1 Control Arm and Link 2 is definitely the caster/#2 Control arm.....The problem child I'm really looking for.

And then there was LIGHT!!!

Happy you were able to figure it out, and yes, you're correct with your identification of them.
