Default Do I NEED toe arms?

Planning on lowering my is250 awd 2.5" on bc coilovers...

I will likely get:
Front:
-spc front ball joints (camber),
Rear:
-figs mega arms (camber) OR megan camber arms [megan's are cheaper ]

BUT, are these parts even useful if I don't buy toe components? In other words, is toe adjustable at all?

Ideally, I'd like to buy only camber arms, but by using them, would I be throwing off toe to the point of requiring aftermarket arms?

Thanks!

I don't think these will throw your toe off. You can just run with those mentioned. If you need to adjust toe after getting an alignment you can add them later.

thanks!
its kind of interesting how many of the members talk about purchasing coils, but no where do they discuss purchasing these alignment products! few people seem to be interested in preserving tire life, others just buy coils/ springs and are done.

i know the amount of drop and wheel setup comes into play, but i'd like to be on the safe side!

Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year!

Just be aware that a lot of AWD model owners that drop their car they end up having CV joint/boot issues.

alternatively, Im thinking of springs, but I would want an even drop, and a stiffer ride than stock. A drop of 1.5 -2" is ideal (I heard road magnets arent that stiff :/)

Coils are your ultimate answer because you can adjust to the exact height you want, you can order custom spring rates, you can adjust shock dampening. Pay a bit more the first time and you'll be happier in the long run. If you don't like the height you can always raise it to a stock height (for example in the winter you may want to be higher).

With the SPC front ball joints and the Megan camber arms, you can use them to adjust the camber of your setup and it won't affect your TOE that much? I need some input on this too! I am planning to go wider, so I need to dial in some negative camber, but I don't know if there's a camber kit that doesn't change the toe.

I should let you know that I recently ordered the figs mega arms for the rear and spc ball joints for the front (waiting for them to ship)..

I was advised by a bunch of members, mainly SFFD103, that a 2-2.5" drop followed by camber adjustments via aftermarket camber parts will be within the capabilities of the toe adjustments of the stock suspension... in other words, camber will need to be adjusted thru aftermarket kits (like the ones i ordered), but toe can be managed with our stock suspension.
If it is found that toe needs to be adjusted or corrected further than the capabilities of our stock suspension, then order toe arms/ links/ kits or bushings etc. . this is the route I'll follow to lower safely and economically.
Fyi: Toe Can be adjusted on our stock suspension (to an extent) but camber Cannot at all.

I had the Megan front upper control arm and the rear camber arms, didn't have a single issue with it. I would say it's the best bang for your buck.

Just to let you know megan camber arms (part #: MRS-LX-0311) has been on back order for sometime now. They probably won't be back in stock for another 12 weeks or so. Tried purchasing it new a while ago and I just ended up getting some spc part # 67520 instead with megan toe arm and megan lower arm.

Does anyone have comments on SPC front and rear camber? I am tucking 19s and not sure if this is a good kit for me compared to Megan?

I have spc rear camber kit and their running great havent had any issue what so ever yet. My wheel specs in the rear are 19x11 +24 and tire size 255/30/19. The kit is a little more expensive but it better than waiting 12 weeks.

Hope others might be looking info and this helps. Old post but this is info I've been looking for with 2" drop on coilovers .

Anyone one know if the toe in is affected least by adjustable lower arms or adjustable uppers like spc?
Thanks
