Brakes that squeal
Help guys this problem is driving me NUTS
I have seach the fora and still have not found a reasonable answer. Have a 4 month old GS340. with in the last couple of months I detected a hi pitched squeal every time I touch the brakes. Took in to the service guys and they say that what I am hearing is "the pressure biulding up in the braking chamber - it is normal". Funny enough the loaner RX300 and ES300 has the same problem. They took me on the lot to a new GS300 and I could hear the same whine.
Anybody know what I am or they are talking about

All I know is, my 430 does it as well when the car is cold. Once I am up and running at normal engine temp nothing can be heard. I just live with it since I only hear it when I am pulling out of my garage. Granted it would be nice to have no noise at all when the brakes are cold.

My rear brakes just started squealing really bad and I assume it needs a brake job. Its always quiet when its cold and when its warmed up until about a week ago when I coud hear light squeals coming from the rear. Do you guys know about how much a rear brake job runs?
